Ready to turn your experience into something more meaningful?
At Acme Business Solutions, we're on a mission to help growing companies across the Midwest run better — and to build a team culture rooted in mentorship, integrity, and growth. As one of the fastest-growing teams in our market, we value ambition, grit, and a passion for helping others more than a perfect resume, and we provide the training and support you need to succeed. We're also committed to giving back through local organizations across the Kansas City metro, reflecting our dedication to the communities we serve. If you're driven, coachable, and ready to build a rewarding career that makes a real difference, we'd love to connect with you.
Why This Could Be Your Next Move:
You already have what it takes — people skills, perseverance, and the drive to own a number.
We provide the training, mentorship, and ramp support to help you confidently step into a full-cycle closing role.
You'll be surrounded by a team that's walked the same path — people who once served tables, ran routes, taught classrooms, or managed floors before building their own book of business.
Our thriving office is located: 1400 Grand Boulevard, Suite 310, Kansas City, MO 64106

A Glance at Acme Business Solutions:
Acme Business Solutions helps mid-sized companies streamline the operations work that slows them down. Founded in 2011, we now serve more than 1,200 clients across twelve states, with a client retention rate north of 90%. We're privately held and profitable, which means we answer to our customers and our people — not to a quarterly earnings call. Our team has grown from 6 to 140 in the last five years, and nearly every sales leader here started in a closing seat.
Meet Some of Our Local Leaders, the Heartbeat of Our Business:
Dana Whitfield, Director of Sales:
With Acme Business Solutions for 9 years
Before Acme, Dana managed a regional restaurant group and came into sales with no B2B background at all — she started as an SDR here and has led the sales organization for the last four years.
Outside the office, Dana is usually at a soccer field with her two kids or restoring an old Bronco she swears is almost finished.
Roland Espy, Growth and Development Manager:
With Acme Business Solutions for 5 years
Roland spent eight years in commercial construction before making the jump into sales. He now runs onboarding and ramp coaching for every new AE, and still carries a small book because he refuses to stop selling.
Outside the office, Roland coaches youth wrestling and is the reason the office has a standing chili cook-off.
About the Account Executive Role:
As an Account Executive at Acme Business Solutions, you'll own the full sales cycle for our mid-market segment — sourcing your own pipeline, running discovery, building the business case, and closing. You'll sell to operations, finance, and HR leaders at companies between 50 and 1,000 employees, with deal sizes typically running $15,000 to $120,000 in annual contract value. This is a relationship business: the best AEs here build long-term trust with their clients rather than chasing one-time transactions. You'll carry a defined territory, an annual new-business quota, and uncapped earning potential.
Benefits:
Income Potential: $55,000 base salary plus uncapped commission, with an on-target range of $95,000–$120,000 and accelerators above quota.
Ramp Support: A guaranteed ramp for your first two quarters so you can build pipeline without pressure.
Professional Development: Ongoing training, formal sales methodology certification, and a clear path into senior and leadership roles.
Support and Mentorship: A dedicated sales engineer, marketing support, and a manager who runs weekly one-on-ones that are actually about your development.
Work-Life Balance: Hybrid schedule with three days in office, unlimited PTO with a two-week minimum, and a monthly technology stipend.
Health and Future: Medical, dental, and vision coverage plus a 401(k) with company match.
Recognition: Annual President's Club trip for top performers.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Generation: Self-source at least half your pipeline through outbound calling, email, referrals, and community networking.
Discovery: Run structured discovery conversations that surface real business pain rather than running through a feature checklist.
Solution Design: Build and present proposals to multi-stakeholder buying committees, including owners and executives.
Deal Management: Move opportunities through procurement, security review, and contracting with a clear mutual plan.
Forecasting: Maintain accurate CRM records and submit a weekly forecast you can defend.
Ongoing Support: Partner with implementation to ensure a clean handoff, then stay engaged with your accounts to drive renewals and expansion.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required — we care more about track record than transcript.
Experience: Two or more years of sales experience with a carried quota is strongly preferred. Candidates from adjacent backgrounds — inside sales, account management, insurance, retail leadership, or service industries — are encouraged to apply if they can show a record of hitting a number.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfort on the phone and on video, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
Tools: Working proficiency with a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent). Familiarity with sales engagement tools like Outreach, Salesloft, or Gong is a plus.
Drive: Comfort with a commission-weighted compensation structure and a genuine desire to be measured on results.
